The EOD badge is the only occupational badge shared across all four branches — earned as Basic, then Senior after 36 months, then Master after 96. Within the community it's known by a blunt nickname: "Initial Success, or Total Failure." The laurel wreath honors those who didn't come home; the bomb and lightning bolts mark the precision the job demands when there's no room for a second attempt. This design pairs the Master badge with the ISoTF mark carried by much of the EOD community.
