"Sapper" comes from the French sapeur, first organized under Napoleon as a distinct military engineering corps. The modern Sapper Tab traces to the Sapper Leader Course developed 1982–85 — 28 days of demolitions and combat engineering with roughly a 60% pass rate. Embedded here in the flag; order two for a mirrored pair facing opposite directions on each side of a vehicle.
