Nicknamed "Lifeliners," the 101st Sustainment Brigade activated in 1956 at Fort Campbell to provide logistical support to the 101st Airborne Division. It operated as a separate FORSCOM unit for decades before officially becoming part of the 101st Airborne Division again in 2015.
