Nicknamed the "Sky Dragons," the XVIII Airborne Corps traces to 1942 and became the Army's "America's Contingency Corps" — the first call when the country needs forces deployed fast. It commanded the 82nd and 101st Airborne divisions during the Battle of the Bulge, and today remains headquartered at Fort Bragg, the Army's home for Airborne and Special Operations forces.
