From 1965 to 1972, the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry earned the nickname "No Slack" fighting seven consecutive years in Vietnam without a single break — no other battalion in the war spent as much time deployed in theater. Part of the 101st Airborne, its companies carry their own names too: the Wolverines, Gators, Bayonets, Cougars, and Demons.
