Constituted in 1967 and activated in Vietnam, the 8th Military Police Brigade was inactivated after the war, then reactivated in Korea in 1984 to provide command and control over the peninsula's MP units. It moved to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii in 2006, where it still oversees Army Pacific's military police.
