For decades, non-infantry soldiers who fought in ground combat had no official badge of their own — some wore unofficial, homemade versions with their own branch insignia swapped in, technically against uniform regulations. The Army finally created the Combat Action Badge in 2005 to close that gap. This design uses a more detailed, realistic knife and grenade — a custom rendering used across every CAB decal in this shop.
