Description

Dating to 1922, the NAO badge marks aircrew who fly but aren't the pilot or navigator — in 1968 most were redesignated Naval Flight Officers, but NAO wings kept going for certain intelligence officers and meteorologists who qualify as aerial observers. The Marine Corps brought the wings back for its own aircrew in 2011 after a 15-year lapse, with one retired Marine colonel putting it simply: "If you're a flier, even if you're not at the controls, you should have a distinctive emblem you can wear."

Cut from durable outdoor vinyl. Size ordered is width. White and lighter colors show better on back vehicle windows. Have a specific request? Just ask — application instructions here.
