Not an official military badge — the Recon Jack is an unofficial emblem Marine reconnaissance units adopted as their own, built around the phrase "jack of all trades." The half-skull, half-parachute design carries real specifics: gold wings for jump capability, a diver's rebreather for combat dive qualification, a crossed paddle honoring Marine Raider heritage, and a Ka-Bar for "swift, silent, deadly." Some versions add bullet holes for "pain, suffering, and agony," and a crack in the skull for perseverance.
